Holistic means 'the whole of' So when we use the term holistic therapy, we look to treat the whole body. i.e. if you go to the doctors for a headache - he will probably give you a prescription for pain relief. A holistic therapist will try different relaxation techniques and check out your lifestyle to try and alleviate the cause of the headaches. The body has the ability to heal itself. It is not the holistic therapist or the holistic session that cures... only the body that cures the therapist and the session facilitates this healing.
